A Stone Giant's Burnt Offering

Another for the Imposed Symmetry series.

This one came from a hike up in the hills.  There has been a lot of preventative burn-off up there by the authorities so it has opened up lots of new areas.   I came across this group of boulders high up on a ridge about 2 hours into my hike.  The place had such a powerful, eerie feel, probably more so because everything around was burnt.   Anyway the shot was originally intended to be of the burnt tree in the foreground but that face just happened to be there when I got it home.

Bit of a shame though, I would love to get back up there but, in a few weeks, the grass will have grown back thick as ever and will be filled with some of the most venomous snakes on the planet.  A bite up there is pretty much a death sentence so the "Stone Giant" will go back to sleep and not be bothered again by man for another few years.
